About Dr. Benitez

I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist specializing in psychotherapy and medication management, based in San Francisco, California. As a bilingual and bicultural clinician, I am able to provide care to Spanish-speaking and Hispanic patients.

My approach

My philosophy is to provide holistic, individualized care that considers the whole person, not just symptoms or diagnoses. I take time to understand your history, values, and goals, and we move at a pace that feels thoughtful and sustainable.

Whenever possible, I emphasize psychotherapy, lifestyle factors, and non-pharmacologic approaches, using medication judiciously and intentionally. If medications are part of your care, we regularly revisit whether they remain helpful, necessary, and aligned with your long-term well-being.

Care here is collaborative, measured, and grounded in evidence: focused on clarity, stability, and helping you feel more like yourself over time.
